Wall Split Air Conditioners

Wall mounted split systems have quickly become one of the most popular choices for heating and cooling in homes all over Adelaide.

How it works

There are two parts to a wall split system. An outdoor unit and the wall unit.  The condenser is positioned outside and contains the compressor, coil and fan. The compressor pumps refrigerant to a head unit located inside the house which consists of a coil and a fan. The gas flows through the coil and the air is drawn over the coil via the fan and blown into the room. They are operated via a remote control.

Advantages

Wall split systems are very efficient as there is no heat loss as air is drawn onto the fan indoor coil then is blown directly into the room. The compressor is positioned outside, reducing noise inside the house as the inside unit only has a fan. They are inexpensive in cost and economical to run.
